Crying... something we all do at some point in our lives..... a certain thing some people try not to do. The thing some people do when you just smile at them the wrong way......
It's a totally intimate reaction to something....
Today at school I read a book to my students called "Faithful Elephants" <img src=http://a1055.g.akamai.net/f/1055/1401/5h/images.barnesandnoble.com/images/4520000/4528643.gif> a true story of animals, people and war. By the time I was done, I had several openly crying.... several shoving tissues up their nose trying to pretend they had something up there worthy of their attention...and several...with that llook that speaks volumes.
I read the story... and really, the story itself didn't choke me up as much as watching them get quieter and quieter..and... how they got so emotional. It gave them a whole different perspective on war......too.
The book was chose because it is "I LOve to Read Month"...and it's truly one of my favorite books..... the fact that the hint of war is right there with us all the time just made it have more impact.
Just made me think about crying... and how very personal it is. Believe me, the last several years have brought lots of tears. Sad tears. But I too, cry tears of happiness at times.
I rarely cry to anyone anymore.... If I do... I must trust you with my sensitive soul~ That is so odd. Because I can cry so hard I just want to curl up next to someone yet... I won't go to them when im crying.
Chele knows this. I love her, truly with all my heart. I know I can tell her anything or be anything with her. Yet, I think in all the time we've known each other, I've only cried a few times..... to her...openly wept...mainly.... I've sniffled around im sure.
ANyway~
Do you cry? Do you cry in front of other people? Is it exhausting?
I cry great big..and I mean big alligator tears that just plop out....... ...........

I gotta say I rarely cry...I remember biting my lip so hard at a funeral once I found myself with a mouthful of blood..
When I do cry..Its usually frustration...When I have done everything else...and it seems like I cant do any more with a situation I might cry out of pure frustration
I dont cry in front of others.....There are a few that I have opened myself too.....that have heard me or seen me cry but you can count them on one hand...and I get all stubborn so if I did wanna cry I'd just go somewhere and do it alone..*G
Ohhhhh.....and sometimes PMS makes me wanna cry for no freakin reason at all....*L*
I find people who have a sad face all the time annoying actually.....drives me crazy...
Redhead has known me for years and Im sure she can count the number of times she has heard me cry...I did almost cry when I had to say goodbye to her though....hmmmmm...Now this all has made me wanna cry..
Red cries over poems...she's a softy.....Now Im killed...*L*

I cry... more than I show people I cry....
Most just find out after the fact...or see the evidence...
But that book..... is amazing if anyone cares....

Crying is like peeing in your pants... it should only be done under dire circumstances.

I cried today. I wasn't really sad though. It was closer to hysteria.
